Legion is based on the Marvel Comics character and stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin.
Lakeshore Records has previously released four soundtrack albums featuring Russo’s score and the songs from the first two seasons.
The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music store. Also included are the composer’s and series creator Noah Hawley‘s cover versions of A Pagan Place, Can’t Get There from Here, Cinnamon Girl and Peace, Love & Understanding, as well as Russo’s cover of Pink Floyd’s Mother (performed by Dan Stevens & Stephanie Corneliussen) and the Jemaine Clement- & Jason Mantzoukas-performed Rap Battle. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s third season composed by Jeff Russo ( Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy). In an update on this story, a representative from King's label, Metal Blade, has confirmed to BW&BK that King himself, in a phone conversation, stated that the story that the skull was stolen is true but he has not seen or heard anything about the artifact being returned to him.Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Legion. Prior to the theft, the skull often accompanied King Diamond on shows and inspired multiple Mercyful Fate and King Diamond songs one of which was chosen as the title for Mercyful Fate's debut album. The skull was stolen at a MERCYFUL FATE show in Holland in the mid-1980s, and was said to be that of a witch who suffered at the hands of Judeo-Christianity before finding its way to King Diamond.
A report surfaced yesterday (August 29th) from ANUS (American Nihilist Underground Society, an organization known for its extensive and elitist Dark Legions metal archives, stating that a member of the organization had returned a long lost artifact of heavy metal history, the "Melissa" skull, to KING DIAMOND.
